1. Earnings Preview alerts
Time is at a premium during earnings season. You need to efficiently leverage the data and tools at your disposal to be fully prepared for what is happening in your coverage universe. With Earnings Preview alerts, receive a comprehensive overview of where the Street stands two days and/or two weeks before a company reports directly within your inbox. Within the preview, you’ll see consensus metrics of key line items for the upcoming quarters and YoY growth.
How do you set them up?
There are two ways to set up the Earnings Preview alerts:
- After creating a Watchlist of all the stocks you care about, go to ur Alerts Settings (located under your name in the upper-right corner) and set up an ‘Earnings Preview’ alert for your Watchlist
- While on any company page, click ‘Alerts’ > ‘Earnings Preview’ and select your desired delivery timing
2. Shortcut to customize your Line Item Monitor
Investors leverage the Line Item Monitor (on the homepage of any company) to get a quick, in-depth understanding of how key line items are performing and monitor any shifts without having to go into the detailed views. To dig deeper into detailed forecasts or monitor your variant view, we introduced a shortcut to easily customize the Line Item Monitor. From within any company view, on any line item, ‘right-click’ to add that line item to the monitor.
While performing analysis on Apple, you may decide “Deferred revenue, net - iPhone” is a key line item to watch. Add it to your Line Item Monitor so it will be front and center the next time you navigate to Apple by ‘right-clicking’ on the line item and selecting ‘Add to Line Item Monitor.’
Above: Select the line item you would like to add to the Line Item Monitor from any company view
Above: The selected line item will now appear on the company homepage for easy monitoring
3. Introducing a new type of custom consensus: time-based consensus
The situation: Your top overweight position pre-announces negatively halfway through the quarter, and the stock trades down materially. Some of the Street revise downward, while others are still making sense of the situation. How do you see where the market’s new expectations on the stock ended up?
You can now filter your consensus by time period, to exclude stale estimates based on a timeframe window of your choosing.
How can you do this?
In the right-hand menu under ‘Options’ > ‘Sources’, select “Custom Consensus” and ‘Edit’. Select the number of days to include in your consensus and estimates older than the selected number of days will be excluded.
